The city’s mayor, Sadiq Khan, wants to come to its rescue by advertising for a “night czar” — and whatever such a tyrannical-sounding role entails has set off people’s imaginations.
An increasing number of London’s most iconic nightclubs are closing their doors, reflecting the steady decline of the UK’s nightclub scene over the past 10 years.
Indeed, almost half of Britain’s nightclubs have shut their doors in the last decade. Just this week, a petition to save beloved London venue Fabric from closure gained more than 20,000 signatures. Read more…
